Recognized worldwide expertise in streamlining, yet securing passenger and goods flows in Airports and Border Control stations

JSCP's Principal is a leading Industry authority and a regular speaker and chairman at IATA’s SPTIG (Simplified Passenger Travel Interest Group) and StB (Simplify the Business), Passenger Terminal Expo, Security Document World, various Registered Traveler Forums and other world Transportation and Security events.

He is an active member of ICAO’s NTWG (New Technology Working Group) and ICBWG (Implementation and Capacity Building Working Group), a core team member of IATA’s SPTIG, ISO WG3, SC17, CN31 and SC37 (working on topics such as Visas, e-MRTD’s, RF-ID, Smart Cards and Biometrics with special emphasis on Travel Documents).

As SVP, he has pioneered IER’s Marketing and spearheaded its development as a major world equipment and solution provider in airline and airport automation for many years.

Jean has been instrumental in favoring the introduction of RFID into IATA’s projects, initially supporting the 13,56 MHz HF technology, then, during the official IATA’s STB delegate convention launch, by setting the stage for both goals and challenges of UHF technology.

He has developed a deep knowledge about airport and border control process reengineering under cost containment, using automation and technology as key enablers to control and defer capital expenditure while increasing productivity and enhancing synergies across all major Industry’s stakeholders.

Jean Salomon regularly publishes articles and reviews related to Transportation Logistics, Security and Border Control, and is a co-author of several White Papers and Technical reports for ICAO’s NTWG (e-Visas and Automated Border Control) as well as CEN, the European Committee for Normalization (towards Biometrics interoperability in the EU, written for the European Commission).
